I Mari della Luna – Mare Ibrium

Elisa Ossino designed the I Mari della Luna collection of conceptual tapestries for Amini. These rugs stand as unique works of art, conceived to be hung on the wall as spatial concepts, based on the idea of carefully hollowing and puncturing thick wool, with the textural effects produced by artiginian cutting of the textile fiber. These metaphysical creations allude to the changes and upheavals that these past few years have produced, and were conceived as reflections related to circular economy practices that can counteract the climate crisis and its effects. The surface of Mare Imbrium is characterized by an outline of signs, which identify lines, segments and geometric references.
