Soumak Weaving rug in Wool by Juma
Jean
Ivory

Black and white organic shapes impressed in a delicate, irrational order. Jean carpets, designed by the communication and design studio Juma, are inspired by the earth and its natural elements. Raw jute and soft wool meet symbiotically in a bidimensional sculpture weaved using the ancient Soumak tapestry technique, here reinterpreted in a modern key. “The forms that then take shape offer access to mysteries and reveal to us the profound sources of life”, Jean Arp.

Care & Maintenance
A correct handling and small daily attentions ensure that you may preserve over time the tactile and aesthetic qualities of the carpet. In addition to the quality of the cleaning, which must strictly be professional in case of handmade carpets, there are a number of important recommendations to be made. A few inconveniences may occur soon after first buying a hand-crafted carpet for the first time. Recognizing them and knowing how to deal with them can help you prevent irreversible damage.
