Fede Cheti Maze
Black&White
The square geometries of a labyrinth traverse the entire area of the Maze carpets, hand-knotted in wool and inspired by an abstract textile design originating from the archive of the ingenious Italian entrepreneur and designer. There are two color variants: the motif in black on ivory background and in beige on ivory background. In both, accents are entrusted to thin rust-red lines, traced among the meanders of the labyrinth as if drawn with a pen.
Care & Maintenance
A correct handling and small daily attentions ensure that you may preserve over time the tactile and aesthetic qualities of the carpet. In addition to the quality of the cleaning, which must strictly be professional in case of handmade carpets, there are a number of important recommendations to be made. A few inconveniences may occur soon after first buying a hand-crafted carpet for the first time. Recognizing them and knowing how to deal with them can help you prevent irreversible damage.
Obtained from the shearing of sheep bred at over three thousand meters of altitude in uncontaminated environments, Tibetan wool is sorted, carded and spun by hand according to ancient tradition. From this procedure a strong yarn is obtained, with a soft and luminous texture, used by Amini for hand knotted carpets.
Throughout her life, she conducted private experimentations on weaving techniques, materials, designs, creating and proposing a very personal style consisting of bright colors together with classic and modern fabrics, printed, striped, textured. After the war, Cheti stood out for her original floral fabrics patterned with large motifs and also for her upholstery fabrics, including the ultra-modern cinz, which became a must-have.
