Composizione 57 12
Multi 12.2
The Composizione 57 12 and 57 10 rugs arise from the desire to produce carpets that reproduce the pure shapes and the particular palette of Manlio Rho, to replicate the warmth of its colors that are actually borrowed from the outlying Lombard countryside. The carpet becomes a canvas on which sketch graphic compositions of polygonal figures, arrayed, interlocked and intertwined, in unique color palette.
Care & Maintenance
A correct handling and small daily attentions ensure that you may preserve over time the tactile and aesthetic qualities of the carpet. In addition to the quality of the cleaning, which must strictly be professional in case of handmade carpets, there are a number of important recommendations to be made. A few inconveniences may occur soon after first buying a hand-crafted carpet for the first time. Recognizing them and knowing how to deal with them can help you prevent irreversible damage.
Obtained from the shearing of sheep bred at over three thousand meters of altitude in uncontaminated environments, Tibetan wool is sorted, carded and spun by hand according to ancient tradition. From this procedure a strong yarn is obtained, with a soft and luminous texture, used by Amini for hand knotted carpets.
He began painting in 1918, also dealing with posters and graphic design. Between 1933 and ‘34, abandoning the initial trends of the twentieth century, he approaches abstraction in 1935 and participates with Radice in an exhibition at Milione Gallery in Milan. In 1936 he organizes in Como with Sartoris Radice the exhibition of Modern Italian Painting. He was well aware and sensitive to new artistic trends that came from abroad, such as Weimar, Dessau, and Mondrian with whom he shared the concept of making art through pure relationships of shapes and colors.
