In her Giardino carpet, Carlotta Fortuna uses the weaver’s art to suggest an expanse of flowers and wild grasses. A meadow of natural beauty, disordered and casual, where small coloured lines, like free brushstrokes on the canvas of a contemporary painter, become stems, leaves and petals of flowers.
Carlotta Fortuna was born in Vicenza in 1984. She studied at Politecnico di Milano, at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture in Lyon, in Australia at the U.W.E University, and at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan. After a collaboration with Studio Citterio & Partners, she collaborates with various companies in the field of surface decoration. Since 2019 she teaches CMF at Istituto Marangoni in Milan in Masters “Surface and Textile Design” and “Contemporary Interior Design”.
