As we know, the Eastern tradition of carpet making is centenary. Many were the artists inspired by its aesthetic and beyond the great quality of wools and silks, their weaving technique refined by research and experimentation is a longtime well-known fact.
Visiting the Far East exhibition, Amini introduce you to the fine Chinese collection of Art Deco rugs of Walter Nichols, American carpet merchant from the Twenty’s. As tribute to the far east and to the less-known Japanese-inspired artistic period of Vincent Van Gogh, Amini presents its new silk carpet “Vincent”, along with an installation of classics inspired by the Celestial Empire, characterized by typical decorations and by an etheral color range given by shades of night blue, ivory and yellow.
“(…) the Chinese carpet: harmony of decorations, sober, wide backdrops; shades of yellow, ivory and night blue.”
